On a beautiful day I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if other devices also had start-up and shutdown tunes, just like your computer? For example, your TV, your car or your motorcycle? Since I was looking for a simple project to that uses an Arduino microcontroller, I decided to add the Windows XP Startup and Shutdown sounds to my BMW F650.
I decided to take on a side project for fun. I ordered two Arduino microcontrollers(one USB and one serial), to get some experience in C and C++ programming and microcontroller programming in general. I will connect the Arduino to a wave board and install it on my motorcycle.
Initially it will be used to add start up and shutdown tunes to the bike, future projects will involve interpreting sensors and adding a HD44780 LCD display. I am currently waiting for the Arduinos, marine speakers and amplifier to arrive. I will post a video once the first phase is completed.
